Sudetenland 1938
These stamps record one of the saddest chapters of Czech and Czechoslovak history. Local overprints after the beginning of the occupation of the Sudetenland after the Munich Agreement. There are several types of overprints of Czechoslovak stamps with the swastika and various Nazi slogans such as "Wir sind frei!". The overprints varied according to the town they came from. Among the most famous, for example, are the overprints from Karlovy Vary (Karlsbad), Aš (Asch), Konstantinsbad (Konstantinsbad) and also, for example, from Liberec (Reichenberg).
